HabboDiscussion.com Terms of Service

The decision of whether the conditions below are breached by users is solely at the discretion and opinion of moderation and administration staff.

Account Terms

  • Users may only create one account per individual being. Multiple accounts will be banned without query.(Exceptions can be granted to staff users for forum testing/maintenance.)
  • Accounts must not be shared for any reason.
  • You, the user, are responsible for your own account and any actions carried out from your account.
  • Accounts will not be deleted upon request.

Usernames

  • Cannot include your real surname.
  • May not be composed of symbols or alt-code generated characters.(If your username is already an alt code or symbol, use the Contact Us and provide us with an alternate username, or else your account username may be changed at an administrator’s discretion.)
  • Must not be offensive or impersonating another user, or any other condition deemed unacceptable by the forum moderation/administration team.
  • Usernames may only be changed once. (Exceptions may be granted for specific reasons)

E-mail Address

  • Your email address in your user profile should remain up-to-date at all times. If for any reason an e-mail is sent to you from Habbo Discussion and it bounces, your account access will be terminated until your e-mail is updated.
  • Any official correspondence from Habbo Discussion will be from an @HabboDiscussion.com email address.

User Profile details

  • The Habbo Way must be followed.
  • Avatars must be appropriate. HD Staff will decide what is appropriate and what is not. If you have a question about an avatar being acceptable or not, please PM a HD Moderator.
  • Profile pictures (only applicable to staff users) must not be a personal image.
  • Signatures must not be bigger than 500 pixels (width) by 200 pixels (height) for regular users (registered users, veteran users), signatures must not be bigger than 500 pixels (width) by 250 pixels (height) for exclusive users and staff user groups. These specifications include quotes, text and images as an absolute total.
  • Any profile fields must not contain misleading, false or offensive information.

Forum Language

  • English should be used on the forum where possible; this is simply so that the moderation/administration team can understand posts.
  • Thread titles must be meaningful, thread titles should not be written in a way to purposely encourage attention i.e. writing in capitals, using very vague language. (Exclusive users may avoid this rule in the SPAM forum)
  • Thread starters should state the purpose of their thread in a moderately descriptive manner; threads which are started with a vague reason or a lack of description will be closed & trashed.
  • Posts made in threads must be meaningful and contribute to the thread. Short replies & URLs with no comments are not acceptable.
  • Threads can be bumped once every 24 hours up to 3 times, after this is it fair to say there is no interest in the thread.
  • Once a thread is inactive a user should not post in that thread, typically, two weeks of no posts being made in a particular thread declares it as inactive. If you wish to post in an inactive thread, please consult a moderator/administrator for advice.
  • Advertisements on a commercial level are not allowed.
  • Advertising personal sites which do not breach the Habbo Way is tolerable.
  • Advertising other Habbo Forums is strictly prohibited. (Note: Talking about them isn’t)
  • Advertising websites promoting free Habbo coins other than Habbo itself is prohibited.
  • Extra caution should be taken when posting in threads of a sensitive nature. Users are free to express their opinions so long as they remain composed, civil and respectful.
  • Flaming, name-calling, trolling or other attempts of provoking forum users is not acceptable.
  • Constructive criticism is acceptable if tactful and sincere. Belittling or condescending attitudes are not tolerable.
  • Being slanderous is unacceptable.
  • Harassment via posts, threads, PMs, reputation comments, arcade comments or via any other feasible means are unacceptable.
  • Users should welcome new members in a friendly and inviting manner, be positive!

Reputation

  • Reputation should only be given to post that one personally feel worthy. Rep for rep is strictly not allowed.
  • Offering rep as prize must be approved by either an administrator or moderator.
  • Reputation is meant as that, reputation. Reputation should not be affiliated with popularity. Do not worry about your reputation, good or bad.

Modifications

  • Modifications shall only be used for their purpose and shouldn’t be abused under any circumstances.

Google Adsense

  • Users shall only click advertisements that they are generally interested in. No fraudulent clicks shall be made.

Miscellaneous

  • Affecting the look of the forum isn’t appreciated i.e. stretching rep comments, posts, user titles or any other feasible attribute of the forum. Users can and will receive warnings for this kind of behavior.
  • Suicide notes/threats of violence will be removed immediately and the user banned. Law enforcement will be contacted.
  • Users seeking to waste moderators’ or administrators’ time will instantly receive a one month ban. Please remember our moderators are not paid, they volunteer their time, respect that by not wasting it!
  • Users whom lower the moral of the site by putting it down/ showing an attitude whereby it comes across that the user does not want to be here are not wanted. If you dislike the site please do not visit it.

Please note:

These conditions do not cover all eventualities or situations, as our expansion in terms of moderating the site continues our knowledge and opinion of unacceptable grounds changes. Therefore it is important to point out that the terms of service can change at any time, without any prior notice and in circumstances users may be warned for a reason not listed here which is still deemed unacceptable at that moment of time by the moderation or administration teams opinion.
